Chloe and William: Eight Months

Well, I'm just about a week late in posting this, but life has been crazy busy lately! I'm very much enjoying having two goofy cuddly babies (and of course their big brother). Fall is my favorite time of year, with the anticipation of all the holiday memories we're about to make. This year is going to be extra memorable because now we'll be making memories as a family of five.

Trying to take this month's picture was ridiculous.

Weight and height:  Chloe is about 19 lbs and Will is about 18 lbs. They're both about 27ish inches.

Sleeping patterns:  Sleep was getting better, but colds and teething have interrupted any progress. Since school started, everyone but me has been sick. I don't know how I've managed that, but I'll take it!

Eating habits:  We haven't added too many things to the list of foods because we've been working through the food I made back in July.  They eat three meals a day and get fussy if they don't get a meal. Will has started to get the hang of picking up bananas or puffs and getting them to his mouth. Chloe isn't really interested in that yet.
He was super sick this day, but it didn't really phase him. He's the sweetest smiley baby.

New discoveries they've made:  They love to dance and grab anything and everything. They both are teething, and they like it when I rub their gums. And they gnaw like crazy on their fingers.
I can never take pics with him because he always tries to grab my phone.
Accomplishments:  They roll and scoot backward all the time, and they are so close to crawling. Within the last few days, they both started to get one knee forward but then the other one slips back and they fall onto their tummies. Chloe likes to back herself up into corners or under tables. Both of them can go from sitting up to lying on their tummies and back up again. Will has pulled himself up on to his knees a few times. Both use their pincer grasp to pick up little items, and they both hold their bottles (yes!).

Places they went: Work has been super busy so we have gone nowhere. I feel so bad for them because they just go to daycare and home, and sometimes to Brian's parents' house. Last weekend Chloe and William got to meet Brian's grandma on one of our trips to Brian's parents' house (I say trips because even though it's only 30ish minutes away, we feel like we are moving in with all our stuff!).

Special friends they've made:  Stranger Danger is still happening so they take a while to warm up to people. But they love their cousins! We got to spend some time with Laney, Brinley, and Macey this weekend at my parents' house. It was cute to watch them all interact, and I think Will and Chloe were watching Macey and her crawling pretty closely because that's when they really started getting that one knee forward.

Noises and babbles:  Both say "Mama" and I think "Dada". Chloe also says "mi" for milk, and will sign for milk as well. Will does this funny throat clearing thing when he wants attention. He also makes it known when he wants something or that he wants something back. He does this little yell/scream "aaahh". It's pretty funny!

Firsts:
Hawks viewing party
They managed to survive the loud claps and cheers, and look adorable in the process. I didn't get any pics of Will though...whoops.

Other adventures this month:
Pumping with mobile babies
Thank goodness Brian is with the babies usually while I pump! Brian spent Labor Day weekend out of town while I stayed home with sick kids. Pumping with them was sort of like herding cats. I don't think I ever finished a full pump that weekend because I kept having to stop to corral the babies!
He was right in front of me...

Have a good week!
